Main steam air valve or hydronic heat air valve ?

This is the main air valve on my steam boiler is this correct? The air is venting through this tiny valve but it looks like the wrong one.

    No. Those are marketed as steam or hot water automatic vents but they really are not good at either. That should be replaced with one or more steam main vents.

    Poor little thing. Wrong valve, may well be in the wrong place. How is that connected to the steam main piping?

    It is connected to the vértice return pipe. Also, Should I move it away from the elbow with a vértice nipple?
