hot water 2 pipe system, adding a CI radiator in the basement?

We have a simple 2 pipe boiler system, Viessman boiler with Grundfos 15-42 pump, whole house is CI column radiators.
Basement gets VERY chilly, but I have a few spare CI rads thinking I could use down there to take off the chill.
Don't exactly remember why, but we have have these port valves in the supply/return pipes about 5 feet apart in the large basement room, and similar port valve setup in the other basement room.
If I were to hook up a CI radiator to these ports, would it work? Or just be dead with no flow?
Would upping the pump help? I have a saved Grundfos 43-75 and a "old style" (nib) Bell-Gosset, or is there a type of valve for this to get hot water to go down?
Thanks much for any ideas.

If you hook it up so it goes from a feed line to a return line, no reason why it wouldn't work... you probably have ample pumping capacity.
