    Nice story. So, the contractor did not use one trap if by land or two traps if by sea. He chose three because it was by AIR. The British did not have that option in the 18th century.

    One term used the story I did not understand and don't think I have seen in any of Dan's previous stories. What is "wire drawing" ?

    That’s when water at too high a velocity erodes the valve seat.
