Burnham Boiler

Hey all,

My plumber installed this new boiler, and the removable front panel is extremely difficult to pop off. Gotta really manhandle the thing. I was able to pop off the panel on the old boiler with one hand.

Anyhow, just wondering if this is "normal?"

Maybe, but why are you trying to take it off?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

@STEVEusaPA Because ConEd had to get in there and check for a gas leak.

The jacket gets warped and shifted during transportation and installation. It's normal and it happens to lots of boilers. A well placed hip check can usually set it straight.

That seems like a good reason, does everyone approve?

The "Lower Front Tie Bar" has elongated horizontal screw slots. Loosen the screws and adjust the sides.
