Fun stuff we see in old buildings (not really heating related)

So on Monday I got to troubleshoot a chimney issue in a 50’s era building which turned out to be a shared chimney between a 2 million btu Cleaver Brooks and the former garbage incinerator (the garbage chute is still there, but no longer incinerates). Today I saw this (see photo). My best guess is an old central vac. Any ideas? These little tidbits are my favourite part of the job

    I think you're right. Betcha Spencer made the blower- it looks like one of their pipe-organ blowers.

    Yes, it is a central vac. I have seen a few of these in my area.
