Difference between a $14 and $80 vacuum relief valve?

I'm baffled. Setting up a DWH and on Supplyhouse in the 1st 3 hits I see there's 3/4 valves from an $80 Zurn to a $45 Watts down to a $13.50 Cash-Acme. That's quite a variation for what should be doing the same job. What's up with that, what am I missing? It can't be the Zurn is so much better, I had one go bad on another tank.

As I suspected. I would be a happy man if I always got what I paid for. I know people who go to great lengths to convince themselves they always get what they pay for. Maybe the peace of mind is worth it?

Think about which valves are repairable. Which valves do not change the body types so repair parts are always available for that size and model valve, In that context the more expensive valve may be the cheapest.
