Harassment can traumatize your employees, impact their performance, and undermine your company's daily operations. Do your managers and employees know how to identify and prevent it? Furthermore, did you know that failure to provide sexual harassment training can lead to fines of up to $250,000 in some states? That's on top of the millions of dollars companies may be subject to in liability suits.

In March, NEFI and Women in Energy present "Harassment Awareness Training and Response for Managers and Employees," a series of live ZOOM webinars led by Laurie LaBrie of Integrated Human Resources.

A little back story on this one - I'm currently serving as President of Women in Energy, which was founded to provide career resources and encourage more women to enter our industry to help close the skills gap. We run a mentorship program and host classes for all that range from technical topics to leadership coaching.

Unfortunately we continue to hear stories from women who are being harassed at work. I've experienced this during my career as well. We talk about the lack of young people entering our industry, but we have to make sure that the ones who are here are treated fairly or they will leave and not come back. It's also just the right thing to do.

We've partnered with NEFI on this education program to help strengthen our industry and ensure a fair and safe work environment for all.

Such progress and awareness was made during the "Me too" that I'd personally hate to see this go one step back.
The Pandemic continues to take it's toll but and Society is changing...
Try being civil , respectful while always being AWARE. Especially with women...
G/L Erin.. hope for a good response

One way to get familiar something you know nothing about is to ask a really smart person a really stupid question
