Extra drains if doing Pumping Away?

If I follow the Pumping Away layout, which calls for only one purge, should I not put drains in other locations - such as above and below the circulator, or above the ZWs? Does adding more ruin the purity of the design?

How many zones, how is it piped, zone valves or circulators, what type of emitters?
In general you can put in as many as you want, but with a proper 'pumping away' with that valve in the right spot and oriented correctly, and the fill in the right spot, should be all you need.
I like isolating the circulators, for easy replacement, but with a micro reabsorber air elimination, no purge needed on them. There was an error rendering this rich post.

Six zones. It will be repiped.Zone Valves and one circulator.Circulator will have flanges with shutoffs built in.Can the micro bubble work with antifreeze and not clog?0

Yes the microbubble resorber can work with antifreeze but don't use antifreeze unless it's absolutely necessary. Antifreeze requires annual checking and it will need replacement when it becomes corrosive.0

Pumping away and drains/purge points are not really related. Put drains and purge points where you need them in order to service the system."If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"
