I have a separate heater in my garage (Reznor) that is controlled by a Honeywell CT87K1007 thermostat. We use the heat on an irregular basis. The power is on, but the furnace is not starting when I turn up the temp on the thermostat. looking for possible solutions.

Thanks for the tips. It uses gas and the line is open. I’m not smelling gas, which should mean that there is no pilot. I don’t hear anything when I turn up the thermostat. The power is on and the rest of the outlets in the garage are functional.0

Take a picture of the back of it. Try to get the gas valve in the pic as well.0

I would bet with that thermostat that it is just a bad one. As tommay says, try taking the thermosat off its base base and jump the wires and s if it works. If it does, it is a bad thermostat and needs replaced.
