    One's a trademark IIRC, the other not.

    In the vernacular they're interchangeable; when I'm talking to the factory I'll often use the other guys' terms. Try it, it's fun!

    You will always get the same result when talking about relief valves as in "the relief valve on my steam boiler is set at 15PSIG". Wrong, that should be the safety valve on my steam boiler. Relief valves are for water, safety valves are for steam, as per the insurance and state inspectors in Pennsylvania.
