serviced a steam boiler recently another contractor had installed . they used the mcdonald miller 47/2 feeder / lwco to control only the feed water pump. no feedwater controller. an electronic lwco was in place . any comments ?

What is the feedwater pump drawing from? If it's from a condensate receiver, one would think of it as a pretty straightforward feed water pump setup.Br. Jamie, osb

Problem is, the switch in a 47-2 isn't up to the job of running a pump.
Why is the pump there in the first place? Most times they are not really needed. All Steamed Up, Inc.
