I had an "Iron Fireman" ash tray once, the tin man shoveling coal. I don't know what happened to it :s

    Nice collection!!

Gorgeous collection. I collect thermometers myself, but it’s always a joy to see these relics of a long gone era preserved and cared for. The three gauge Bryant is incredible, never seen one like that. And the absolute beauty of the Webster piece is incredible. The detail and craftsmanship that went into it. Thank you for sharing

Did johnson service company become johnson controls?

Does hanging out here count as a hobby?

I asked my boss and she just rolled her eyes. So I’m taking that as yes.  ;)

Well, looking at all the thermometers, I’d say right about 74 when the pix were taken

And yes, Mattmia that was the predecessor of the current Johnson Controls.

We have 6" of snow on the ground, so I think 74 is just about right for inside temp.

Very nice collection. You have to admire the creativity of the manufacturer's designs. I like the dog on the Bryant.

This is hanging in my office now. I have the photo of the boiler it was hanging on somewhere. Southside of Chicago. I had to get creative when hanging it. I didn’t want this to be my cause of death. There are seven 5/16” x 4” lag screws anchoring it.
