Hot water radiator valves

Do all handwheel radiator valves have the same amount of travel?
For instance: do all handwheel valves with 1/2 NPT inlets have stems that travel the same distance when moved from full closed to full open?
I am working at my sons home and trying to determine if some of the valves are seized, and not sure how to determine if they are seized.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I doubt they would all have the same travel -- those things aren't that standard! But -- they will all close in the same direction, unless they are really weird. Right (clockwise) to close. If the handwheel turns at all in either directions they aren't seized -- but that doesn't mean they work.Br. Jamie, osb

The cheap China valves seem to have less opening and more restriction0
