Navien CH-240 ASME Boiler/water heater combi

I no longer need to use the boiler portion for heat and want to disconnect so it no longer heats that portion, but continue to use the DWH. I disconnected the Thermostats for the board and that appears to do the trick. is there anything else I need to disconnect before I drain, disconnect and cap the pipes to the floor heat?

You have to leave the expansion tank, relief valve, fill valve and pipe loop between the supply and return. Also, some means of air removal.

thanks Ironman. so I have to leave water in the loop but I can just loop the heated supply back in the return pipe and eliminate the floor heaters loops?

    Yes, including the components above.

The thing to keep in mind is that it’s still a boiler and those components are necessary.
