Peephole on dynatherm

So I ran into an old long tube dynatherm the other day and the peephole lever did not work so I could not check the flame or its color - I'm guessing a smoke test is the only way to make sure it's burning clean?

Any tips or tricks of checking the flame when the peep hole is disabled like this?

Thank you.

A combustion analyzer is the best way to evaluate how well it is burning.

Yeah the only reason to look at the flame is to see if there's a flame. Analyzer and more importantly a smoke tester.

There was an error rendering this rich post.
