The Industrial Museum in Attleboro Massachusetts received a request from an Attleboro resident if could help identify these photos. They are from a factory or works of some kind in Attleboro,1919 according to the labels on the photos. Any help would be most appreciated. Carleton Legg Director at Industrial Museum.

They look like power plant sized boilers or maybe the on site powerhouse of a large factory complex or university.

I was going to mention water tube boilers but Erin beet me 2 it :)

Don't know if they are B& W boilers but they sure could be.

Had to be a Big hospital or other large industry.

    How about an electrical utility??

If you could get hold of someone at B & W I am sure they have the records

I am trying to figure out if they are being installed or dismantled.

    Dismantled is my guess

Imagine all the asbestos lying around there

The Heine boiler works made a boiler of similar design. They looked the same with very little differences.

Thanks for the great responses, my best guess was the Attleboro Steam and Electric Company which had a works in Attleboro at the time mentioned in the photos. Attleboro is 10 miles from Providence RI so I will follow up with the Babcock and Wilson Company records and the Heine Company. Thanks again to you all.
