Condensate pan treatment

Looking for recommendations on condensate pan treatment. We have a customer that has a whisperkool wine cellar unit that has a humidifier option with it. About once every other month the drain line becomes restricted due to the deposits that the humidifier creates. we have tried pan tablets, and pads which neither one working. I was looking for something that would help where the pan would only need to be cleaned out every 5-6 months rather then once every other month. I realize with an evaporative type humidifier, the issue can not be eliminated completely, and that the system still needs maintenance. The main issue is that the system is 3/4 of a ton, and the outlet on the drain pan is only about 3/8" .thanks to all

Other than making the drain a reasonable size, I dont think much will help. I assume the water is fairly hard as well.Serving Northern Maine HVAC & Controls. I burn wood, it smells good!0

Use a Steam Humidifier. Keep the humidity to a minimum.0
