Impossible! Can't Find C.I. Baseboard Assembly Tool

I have been looking for over a month, and heating season is just days away...... So I am about to abandon my cast iron baseboard, as I simply can't find a source to borrow, rent or buy any assembly clamps. Any ideas before I buy fin tube? Thanks.

Could probably make it with some bar stock or tube stock and some long, large bolts too.

It's been a while but I remember starting at a service company and we did a lot of freeze and splits. We used to just use a sh&tty old pair of vice grips set at the right spacing. Never did have an issue.

I used 3 and one oil on the push nipples and rubber mallets to tap the sections together. Never had a problem after the installs.

I was able to borrow one from a supply house in NY. They had lost track of it, but they tracked it down and I was able to borrow it. After having used it, I sure am glad I didn't have to improvise!
