I have a 3,400 sq ft home + a full basement which I may want to heat one day. The house has baseboard heating w 2 zones.

The price is for a Triangle Instinct 155 and a Triangle tube 40 gallon indirect fired water heater. If I understand correctly w 3 zones (3 thermostats vs the 2 we have today).

Does $ installed sound right ?

Look up what you can buy those items at retail. Add in the cost of gas piping from the street or off an existing tee. Are you sure you need a 155K BTU boiler? You could double the parts costs maybe to get an idea of labor and remember that capitolistic profit and overhead. Get 2 more bids and compare apples to apples and who you think will respond at Christmas with water on your floor and no heat.

And while you are at it, compare the price per BTU of oil vs. gas -- and availability. In some areas gas is limited in cold weather...

Sounds right if the voltage is 120v. If they can do the job in 240v price should come down to about 11.5k because is uses less amps.
How much does a house cost?
