Hi I need some advice
Is good to use steam dresser coupling in a 3" steam riser

    Couplings and clamps, if they're quality, can work on cold water.
    But for pipes that expand and contract plumbers rather not.
    There is a Swiss company that sells expensive clamps connectors who claims its products work on steam. Maybe somebody can incorporate in a Baker coupling a bellows to deal with expansion/contraction?

    Mechanical expansion joints do a great job allowing movement from warm up and cool down or long runs and changes in direction secure them solid on one side and the other side moves  they last for years with little or no maintenance

    I used steam dresser couplings only for emergency repairs on low pressure steam and replaced them on the first system shut-down.
