LAARS MINI-Therm JVi

Hey folks, question.
I have a super high pitch noise occurring when I turn my second floor zone on. The noise sounds like a very high pitch tuning fork and it's localized down by the boiler somewhere. I can't seem to put my finger on it. Has anyone come across this?
I also sometimes have a clanking noise when the boiler turns off. Maybe not the right flow to the boiler?
Stay Warm! Thank you for any insight.
-Joe

Is your system zoned with zone valves or circulators? I would guess it's the second floor circulator if you have one

Copper fin boilers like yours are very sensitive to low flow conditions.
How is yours piped? Can you post a picture? Is this a new problem?

A new problem, or has it been going on for awhile. Another issue with copper tube is they can scale up, so when they turn off them make a peculation noise. It may need to be de-lime. When they fire up they can squeal, moan, hammer...
