Will these radiators work with hot water

My neighbor was putting a bunch of cast iron radiators out to be recycled. I thought these two were too pretty to just toss so I saved them. After I got them home I realized that the sections are not connected at the top so I'm not certain how they would work with hot water. They would appear to be just be a huge expansion tank unless there's something internal to get water to circulate. Anybody have any help on these units? Maybe my aesthetic interest got the best of me here. Also, if they do end up being usable, can I clean them out and use them with a system that has a lot of staple up radiant and a mod-con boiler? I'm worried about introducing dirt into my system.
. If you look, there is a second picture attached which gives a view between the sections.

If it's true that they're not connected across the top... sorry. They won't do for hot water; there's no way for the water to circulate.Br. Jamie, osb

Figures you're in that part of PA. I've seen that design before, pretty sure they were made by the Reading Radiator Co in the city of that name. Can you post some more pics? Are there any others left? All Steamed Up, Inc.

@Steamhead, There were only two of these nice ones. The rest were the generic small tube units. I left them go as I have no immediate need for them. These are both 8 sections, 32" high, 36 sqft EDR. There is another picture thru the sections on my original post. They are clean and in great condition, not a lot of paint buildup. It appears I can't use them for myself because I have hot water and the sections don't communicate at the top. I would be willing to part with them in that case. I could post more pics tomorrow if you want, they are in the dark right now.0
