Drain steam boiler after conditioner is added?

Hi guys, just had my annual service done but this time my plumber told me to drain the boiler in a few days. He said the conditioner he added will flush all the dirt out. It doesn't sound right to me, I thought the conditioner stayed in the system to treat the water, surely draining it out and adding new water full of oxygen would defeat the purpose?
My boiler was already fully drained as part of the service and there wasn't much boiler mud. My sight glass has nice purple colored water from the conditioner with no brown in it. Should I drain it out like he said or just leave the conditioner in the system?

Deep purple? light purple? If it's a nice light purple, the boiler doesn't surge, and the boiler doesn't foam... leave it alone.Br. Jamie, osb

Is it typical to drain the boiler a few days after adding conditioner?0

It’s not typical for that to be done. As Jamie has said if it’s light purple doesn’t surge or foam leave it in.0

Yes it’s a light purple, no surging or foaming. Thanks for the help!0
