    5 posts in less than 20 minutes, at lunch, on the coldest day of the season so far, with NE in a snow/freeze/power out mess.

    First of all why? My guess is your system has a 2 pipe, you think (or confirmed) your pump is bad, you bought another one.

    There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Yes. But it isn't a completely straightforward job, and requires some specialized equipment -- and knowledge.

    Here is the easy way to do it.

    https://www.supplyhouse.com/Tigerloop-Oil-De-aerators-25270000?gclid=CjwKCAiAwrf-BRA9EiwAUWwKXi1DVxZB91OcnPMIIGr52rSHzSUhdtyXuwYaER3ZozQaBZW9-iTMchoCht0QAvD_BwE

    I always used the ULTRA because it comes with a great oil filter. but if the oil filter you have is still good, then use the standard Tigerloop. It gives you all the benefits of a single pipe from the tank and all the benefits of a 2 pipe system.

    You won't need to remove the bypass plug in the fuel pump and you don't need to redesign the piping at the burner.

    After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

    @mikelee

    You can but why would you want to? Is your oil tank inside or outside?

    @mikelee

    You change the oil pump from 2 pipe to 1 pipe by removing the bypass plug.

    You really need to call a professional if you don't know how to do this. And respectfully if you have to ask the question you don't. Do yourself and your family a favor and call your oil supplier or service tech
