Hydronic Question

I have a 320 sf shop with a 2 loop 1 zone system cast into the slab. The slab sites on 3” of foam.  I’m looking for suggestions on a heat source.  Most boilers are too large. Any thoughts on an electric point of use.

A small electric boiler would be ideal, but possibly a small tank water heater depending on the actual heat loss of the space

The space is very well insulated and I’m not looking to turn into a tropical paradise.

You would be safe to assume your heat loss is <30 BTU/ft .
    A watt= 3.412 btus. A typical 40 gallon hot water heater is rated 4,500 watts (15,354 BTU).

You can use a small hot water heater. For a space that small in a closed system, just about anything made for hot water would be enough.

Or a small gas or LP fired water heater, if the fuel costs are lower. While the output is too large the 40 gallon tank is an ideal buffer. What are your true KWh costs. Gas or LP?
