Please Help Dunkirk Boiler & Baseboard Heater

Details : Dunkirk PVWB-5D, 3 zones
1) basement zone appears to work fine, but may be only periodically.... I'm not sure the furnace kicks on everytime its calling for heat.
2) zone 2 first floor will not fire the furnace. I replaced the thermostat with a smart thermostat (something i've been meaning to do any way for some time) in the hopes this was the problem. When the smart thermostat calls for heat, the furnace cuts power and forces thermostat to reboot. Still will not fire.
3) zone 3 second floor, turned thermostat on, called for heat, fired up, pipes started banging hard and then pressure relief valve let loose. This scared the pipes out of me. In spite of this the pipes upstairs did not seem to receive any heat.
Could this be one issue, am I dealing with multiple issues? Could a pipe be clogged? What should I trouble shoot?
Thanks in advance,
Judd

I mean this in your best interests. You need to hire a professional. This is not a DIY project.0

This ^^^. You have multiple problems there, and it will take some work to straighten it out.Br. Jamie, osb
