Wet Return

So the wet return that was buried in the floor seems to have rotted out.....
To limp through the season, is there any problem with running the line horizontally about 8 feet with som3 pitch and then down to floor level ? Floor level is below the boiler NOWL

A wet return is a pipe installed below the boiler water line.
As long as you keep the entire pipe below the water line you can run it up, down sideways pitch is not important. It's ok to use copper but only for wet returns below the water line. Where the pipe drops down from the steam line you should go straight down, avoid going horizontal above the water line1 -
Awesome thanks! I don't deal with gravity return on the commercial side.0
