EK with buffer tank

This house is an old carriage house that is originally from the 1870’s.
We installed this EK1 Accel boiler with 40 gallon storage tank for domestic hot water and 40 gallon Argosy buffer tank piped in two pipe configuration for a new panel rad system.
We are operating this system via outdoor reset for constant circulation and trv’s on the radiators.

    Awesome!
Question about operation of the controls.
Would it be correct with constant circulation that the boiler only fires to either charge the buffer or charge the indirect?

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Thanks @STEVEusaPA.
Constant circulation is for the heating side only so that would be to heat the buffer tank and the panel rads. The Taco DT pump is controlled by the Taco switching relay and Honeywell Temperature control. There’s an outdoor sensor wired into the Honeywell Control and set at 70° to turn the pump on.

@EzzyT did you source the buffer, or is that from EK

@hot_rod the Argosy buffer tank we got from one of our wholesalers and was a special order since no one in NJ stocks them. The 40 gallon and up come with a temp well but the 22 gallon doesn’t.
The hot water storage tank came from EK.

As always another top notch install by Ezzy and Fred , installs like these are very far and few between in all the jobs I see and even rarer is the fact that it’s been thought out by one guy and the same guys are the ones installing and commissioning it . That is a rare union which will never be seen by tech who just a number working at some place they usually hate and there’s usually no pride in there work which is the complete opposite of what Ezzy and Fred do and aside from all that trophy polishing there both honest hard working guys who do terrific work and are honest it never gets better then the last comment and of course there fun to work w if you consider working hard at a steady pace fun I do . Kudos guys Peace and good luck clammy
