Low water pressure

I have recently been having a problem running my sprinkler system in the early morning. There is barely enough pressure to push the heads up. I have always run my sprinklers this time with no problems. I test them in the afternoon when i get home and they work fine. Can't run them during the day due to kids playing outside and showers ect. Is a booster system in my future? TIA

Maybe the entire neighborhood is trying to sprinkle at the same time?

Or your utility drops the pressure then for some reason, pump switching etc, you could call them.

Put a pressure gauge on it. If it is reading very low in the morning, bring it to the water departments attention.
My guess is that there are too many people watering at that time. Is the a big irrigation system in the area?

A flow test is a good start. Put a gauge at the sprinkler connection and measure static, no flow, pressure

Then open taps or the sprinkler and note pressure, dynamic, drop

Is the sprinkler connection downstream of a PRVs or back flow device? If so check for plugged screens.

If it has worked in the past it could be one of your devices restricting flow

Any idea on the gpm of the heads?

Put a pressure gauge on you system. You can by gauges with a fitting attached that will fit an outside faucet or a water heater drain valve.

How is the water flow in the rest of the house when the sprinklers are sluggish?

I am not on well water. The pressure is low in the house when sprinklers are running. I think Jughne and Zman are correct about too many people running sprinklers at the same time. Not sure of any large systems in the area. Lived here for 11 years with no problems until now.
When I am having the issue they run between 4am and 6am. I was home this morning and ran them at 730am and they ran perfectly fine. Wife complains she cant bring puppy outside if I run them at that time though. 🙄 I will get the pressure guage to see what the numbers are. There is a backflow preventer on the main, but the problem is only at a certain time of day, so I doubt thats the issue. Thanks for all your responses.
