Singer air conditioner

Hello I was trying to find the tonage of my singer ac and the numbers on back are gone. But i pull off the plate on condenser. Has BM700676

    Look inside the electrical compartment. Sometimes there's numbers in their.

    If you get model and serial # off compressor body we can find it that way

    It really doesn't matter what the old one was. Get a heat load loss calculation performed. See if the duct system can handle the new air flow requirements. A lot of changes since that unit was installed.

    Singer was something of a conglomerate several decades ago. Besides HVAC equipment, they were in the audio-visual field (with Graflex) and transportation signalling (Safetran). Those are just the ones I know of............

    I had a b&w 13" tube tv that was singer branded. I had another one with an identical chassis that was panasonic branded.

    My brain went to sewing machines. Not them? I haven't seen one in forever. Always assumed it was the same Singer.

    Singer was bought and sold and changed names a few times. I think it was Climate Control at one time
