Big Mount Vent Installation

Good morning. This may be a silly question, but are we supposed to do anything to the Big Mouth vent before installing it as a main vent? I saw another post about tightening some pieces, but I wanted to confirm.

The only thing that might need tightening before installation would be the cap. I don't know how they usually come from the vender. That should be accessible for service after you install it. The only other thing would be the union nut. You'll thread the male spud into what ever fitting you have on your system.
