New Yorker draft hood needed

Double D
Member Posts: 448
In addition to correcting the near boiler piping and getting some adequate main venting in I will need to find a new draft hood for this model CGS50ANC-ME2 New Yorker boiler. Does anyone know where I can get one or know how to find out the original height of the draft hood on this boiler?

You dont have much choice other than to fit it into the bottom of the elbow and move the damper to the horizontal run.
Why do you need a new hood?
Edit: You can also eliminate the hood and install a gas barometric draft regulator.
Check the Spill Switch rating and get a new one.
I don't know code on this but other guys can help. Its mentioned in other threads.0 -
The installer cut 7+ inches off the bottom. It's either replace the hood or add back in the amount cut on the bottom. Then I should be fine putting the damper on the horizontal.0
