Can I separate the radiant manifolds?

I am a newbie diyer, installing Caleffi (S1 series) inverted manifolds in the joist space under the subflooring. In one location I am limited with install options and want to "separate" the hot-supply manifold from the cold-return manifold. The system comes pre-assembled with a hanging bracket keeping them parallel. I want to cut the bracket and mount them in-line. The pex tubing length would essentially be almost the same. Can I do that? I can't see why not, wanted to ask if anybody knows otherwise and I am missing something. Thanks
