Adding a second riser to boiler

Options
Hey all, I want to add a second riser to my Weil McClain boiler. The boiler has two punch out sections for risers. I believe this will lead to better steam quality. Is this a complicated fix? Thank you

That may be a project for summertime, depending on how easily the plug comes out of the block.
It is a worthy improvement generally.
Post some pictures of the present piping.

To add a second riser is not advisable. If you do not have problems and it ain't broke don.t fix it.

The second riser will need a complete work up of the piping leaving the boiler. Lot of work and possibly money.

It's worth looking at the install manual for your boiler to see what the manufacturer recommends. Of course more can be better, but is there a specific issue you are trying to solve?
