Want to thank @clammy for helping us out on this one.

We ripped out this Weil Mclain that was leaking from above and below the water line of the boiler plus the boiler return was clogged.
We installed a Peerless 6303 with a drop header.
Upgraded the main venting with Barnes & Jones Varivents.

    Beautiful work! You guys are good.
    Did the customer opt to not have the auto feed?
    I read you steam guys prefer the vaporstat over the pressuretrol. I assume the PA404A comes with the package? Do you offer the vaporstat as an upgrade?
    Again, very professional installation.

    @HVACNUT thanks.
    When we don’t install a auto feeder we install a analog meter with a counter to track water make up usage but we forgot to grab it from the shop.
    We will be going back to do more skimming and wanding at that time we’ll be installing the demineralize inline filter with meter and counter.
    Both vaporstats and pressuretrol nowadays that come factory are a hit or miss on how well calibrated they are so we check and test them with a rig we made up. Yes vaporstat are offered as an upgrade.

    Looks great as usual! ;-)
    On your square cast, easily cleaned pigtail... this time you have a tall pipe off the top of the cross... and nothing attached. Is the extra tall dead end there for a reason, or just that tall for future addition of vapor stat etc..?

    @steamySteam its a 3/4”x 1” coupling with a plug so we can clean and refill with water.

    Nice! So you are now making these with 3/4 instead of 1/2? The nice one you built on mine is a 1/2”. I like your install of the demineralizer, does this help with chlorides or just Ca and Mg ?
    The previous boiler you removed for me (IN6) lasted only 15 yrs. Chlorides tested moderate, but I still like the idea of Lessing the other dissolved solids a bit.
