Old black pipe in slab radiant systems

Looking at a job that has a black pipe under slab radiant single zone system I assume from the 50's, customer is flipping the house, did pressure test , seems to be holding pressure, not sure if I should convert to baseboard or use the radiant any feed back.

Do you feel lucky? I would certainly have a plan B in place, there may come a time, possibly mid winter...
Another consideration is most of those old systems had little if any insulation under them or around the perimeter.
Radiant walls and ceilings are an option, or a thin over the top floor system.
I think a potential buyer would learn about the age and drawbacks of an old radiant system like that. I suspect the "flipper" considered that when they bought the place.
If you work on the system, be sure to add a disclaimer, no guarantee written or implied.Bob "hot rod" Rohr
