I live in a rural area with private well and septic system. I’m installing the Lochinvar combi with Alpha 2 pump to distribution manifold to cast iron radiators. I intend on using Califfe’s water treatment cartridge. Are backflow and checkvalves needed? Thanks. I truly appreciate all the shared wisdom

whether it's code there or not,
that or an isolated make up water system,
definitely protect your well and domestic water.

A simple dual check with a vent is pretty inexpensive. You really don't want nasty boiler water in your drinking water."If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"
