Does air in hot water baseboard piping affect heating efficiency?

Basically if there is air in the system, the system isn’t delivering all the btus into the home it’s making. So the boiler will run longer then needed to satisfy the call for heat, bouncing off the high limit and cycling.

Agree with ☝️. And as you know, air contains oxygen, and oxygen is to be eliminated or controlled in a hydronic system. It's a slow killer.
