Pressuretrol replacement

Hi all,
Is replacing a pressurtrol something a homeowner can/should do? I don’t trust the settings on my existing one. Seems simple, 4 wires. Is Honeywell PA404A1033 a good choice?

Yes you can do it that PA404A is ok. Shut the power off remove the old control. Make sure the pig tail under the control is clean. In fact you should take all the small pipe apart back to the boiler and clean and re assemble.
Make sure to mark and reconnect the wires correctly. I see they made a splice to another control don't want to mix the wires up
After you get it running yest to make sure the control will shut the burner down. You can put a screwdriver under the control lever on the PA404a and pry up gently the burner should shut down1 -
Thank you!

Before you replace the pressure control . Make sure the pigtail is clear .... I would check that first . My trucks stock P404 cardboard box shows years of age ....
There was an error rendering this rich post.
