Oil Burner Not Working after fill but works now. Question

I got my tank filled last week when the gauge was between 1/8 - 1/4. I added oil treatment solution before they filled it. 2-3 days later, the beckett burner blinks red. I pressed the button, 5-10 minutes later, it goes dead again. I was thinking the filter was clogged but instead, I played with the valve that lets the oil in. I heard a gurgle in the oil line and now the boiler works fine.
What just happened? Was there air in the line or did I just pushed sludge to the filter?

Try not letting the tank get so low before filling which stirs up sludge. I would check the filter, pump strainer and nozzle.
You could be running but not burning properly0 -
The firomatic valve? Is the stem up?
I dont see why the driver would close a valve.0 -
Could be any of the above or none of the above and just a coincidence and another issue.
There was an error rendering this rich post.

The old defective oil valves that stripped, are still out there. If it was airbound, you may or may not get away without bleeding, unless it's a two pipe.0
