How to order replacement traps?

Hello I just had a pro out to upgrade the main venting and begin to get my system in better working order. One room in particular was not getting heat and was piped incorrectly. Now that the piping is fixed it’s getting some heat, but the convector is still not getting hot all the way across. If I take off the grate I can feel the trap and it’s ice cold on both sides, the valve seems to be hot on both sides. I’m guessing the trap may be stuck closed? I would like to learn how to maintain my system my system myself at least as much as I can. Is replacing a trap something I can do myself. How do I know what parts to order. It is a 2 pipe warren Webster system. I am including a picture of the vent housing. Thanks!

flach light and get # and name off trap. You can usually take the cap off and rebuild the trap...or change the trap. Barnes & Jones near Boston or Tunstall Associates Chicopee, MA Google them0

I found this page. https://www.tunstall-inc.com/steam-traps/tunstall-capsule/cross-reference/ But I am not sure how to know what my original capsule is. Do I have to
Take the cap off to find out? Here is a better image of the top of the cap.0 -
Are there any markings on the sides of the body?0

Wait I found this that cross references with Tunstall TCWW-2506. Is it as simple as unscrewing the cap taking out the interior of the old trap and screwing this one back in??0

That's the number you're looking for. Make sure the cage you buy doesn't require a new cap. I usually use Barnes and Jones. Some require a new cap for the first time, some you use the existing cap.0

Warren Webster O2V-1 trap, Barnes and Jones cage unit shows use existing cover.0

Click on index of T to Z. You should be able to find your replacement cage.

So if I use a Barnes and Jones product, I remove the cap then remove the old seat, the new cage just sets in where the old seat was without threads?0

Correct the new cage unit has a gasket that seals down on trap bottom. Reuse original cover. Pretty simple.Peter Owens

Okay thanks! Due to the tight access under the convector I want it to be as simple as possible.0
