Proper vents can make all the difference!

First of all, I want to thank everyone on here who helped me through my steam heating ordeal !
Recap: New steam boiler installed in August, months of problems to follow including water gushing from radiators and violent banging and couple days no heat. (my 1928 boiler never did such things!) Finally repiped, properly, but livingroom radator stayed cold.
Today, we switched out the vents and all is well! Plumber had installed Varivalve Quick Vents which I would not recommend. We installed Vent-Rite Model #1 and they work beautifully. It was easy to balance the heat around the house and the livingroom is finally warm!. Livingroom is set at 8 (highest) rest between 4 to 5.
If you're going through steam heating woes, I empathize.This discussion group is a great support- and I'm glad I found a knowledgeable heat guy.
