I have a Honeywell L8148E aquastat there is voltage between W & B2 but none between W & T,.the owners manual shows something between these two terminals that is marked 1K, is this a resistor?

You're measuring in the wrong spot. You're lucky they are both low voltage terminals.
Be careful or you are going to short it, at best.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

It may not be your aquastat, if that unit has a motorized vent damper call a pro.
