Which one is better the Honeywell PA404A1033 or the L404F1367. I know oems use either of the two just wondering which is a better unit. I can tell you this, with a bit calibration I can get a PA404 spot on. Just wondering got a job coming up and want to use the best stuff.

I have an opinion but I'm not a Pro. I believe the PA404A is more reliable, once you get the pressure calibrated.0

If I had a choice I'd choose neither.
Seems like they can't even get the components straight anymore:

I like L404 better.
Don't have to open it to see what's going on.
It has a bigger diaphragm, so more surface area makes me think it's more accurate and durable.
I have bought new PA404 and there bad out of the box.
I keep a 1/4 x 6" nipple in my bag just for testing pressuretrols.
If I set it to 1 psi and I cant get it to click by blowing into it, i replaced it.
Some times manually working the switch frees it up.
My opinion the PA is the cheapest piece crap pressuretrol. I've found too many broken.
Not a lot of options with pressuretrols. Does anybody make them other then honeywell?0 -
Thanks a bunch guys. I too have found the number boards on the pressuretrols and vaporstats to be useless, I need to set them with a low pressure or water column gauge and leave em be.DL Mechanical LLC Heating, Cooling and Plumbing 732-266-5386

So for the pros, you go to all this trouble to set these devices properly, how often do you come back and find someone has messed with them?
