EZEWARM

This will probably a really simple answer for my question, but here it goes.
I have a customer that is using a EZEWARM heating mat in their bathroom(under the tiles of course)
And their thermostat is not working. Can i simply replace it with a Honeywell thermostat or does it need to be brand specific?
I am not doing the install, i am just trying to find something that will work.

Thanks

Step one is going to be to check and see if the thermostat is line voltage and controlling the full load of the mat. If so, you are going to need a line voltage thermostat with that rating. Not that they are hard to find...

Checking their website, I see they're manufactured in Ireland. I don't know if you're in the states or not, but the thermostats offered by Ezewarm look to be standard 24 vac powered. Not sure if different voltages are used in Europe.
If the control circuit is 24 vac, a 24 vac Honeywell will work.
