Old zone valves

Pulled 8 of these today and replaced them with Caleffi press valves. All 8 still worked. Couldn't help but clean up one for my collection.

    Looks like a precursor to the Gold series. Surprised they worked!

    You’re right. 3 wire, heat motor. #2 sharing end switch and motor. I had repaired an internal wire on valve last winter and suggested replacing all of them when I replaced the boilers as a preventative measure. 57 years is quite a run for a zone valve.

    I guess the wax motor type valve, proved to be very reliable in this case.
