Ever grateful to the wise ones

I first posted here four years ago. I moved from a 1926 Colonial with hot water heat and bought a 1941 cape with single pipe steam (originally coal now gas). My first winter here almost gave me a nervous breakdown from lack of sleep with the screaming, spitting air vents, hissing valves and banging from water hammer. I learned from you to turn the pressure down, repack the valves, change the air vents, to hire a professional to fix what I couldn't (add main venting) and make sure the radiators were angled correctly. I am going into my fifth winter here and I wanted to let you know how thankful I am.
