Which 0 to 30 psi steam boiler gauge?

Part of my pre-season maintenance includes replacing my Peerless steam boiler's 0 - 30 psi gauge. I run a vaporstat with a low pressure gauge, but need to replace the broken 0 - 30 gauge so I'm not in violation of any intergalactic laws. My gauge is back mount, 1/4 inch, and it taps directly into the boiler without sitting on a pigtail. I've searched on Supply House, Amazon and Pressureworx, but can't seem to figure out the exact variety that I need. I assume I need an internal siphon. My existing gauge, which probably was original to the boiler 12 years ago or so when the prior owner had it installed, has no manufacturer name on it and no part or code number on the dial, case perimeter or back. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

I'm not sure if anyone even sells internal siphon gauges anymore. I'm probably wrong, but I can only find used ones online. I'd just go with a 90 degree pigtail and a standard 30-0-30 pressure gauge.Never stop learning.0

Sounds good. A pigtail and basic 30 psi gauge it will be.Mike_Sheppard said:I'm not sure if anyone even sells internal siphon gauges anymore. I'm probably wrong, but I can only find used ones online. I'd just go with a 90 degree pigtail and a standard 30-0-30 pressure gauge.

If you have a low pressure gauge (0-3 or so) and are confident it is accurate, add the 0-30 is a waste of money. It might work but never might show 1-2 PSI, and a new one would not either.
IIWM I would leave it. If the gauge police show up you could claim that it did work and just failed. (like a taillight).0
