RTU Replacement

It has been in the 90's here in DC for the past week. Luckily it cooled off a little and was overcast today.

We replaced a rooftop unit in this restaurant in Sterling VA this morning. We don't typically do restaurant work due to slow/no pay but this was an exception as I know the owners.

We had already replaced two other RTUs in this building last year.

Out with the old.

Looks good! My boss would have a heart attack if he saw that many guys on the roof for an RTU that size lol.

Safety. An extra crew to disconnect the old and set the new. A two man crew finished up. Me? I just watched and took pictures.

    Nice.

How long was the sign truck on site? I used to hump to get them gone, but since they went to a 4 hour minimum, I don't work so hard to get them on the road again.

We'll send the big'uns, 50 tons & up, to the yard; most other things come to us. We have a nice dock to unload at & space to store equip usually, so it works out.

Like I said, I used to bust rear end to get the crane back on the road, but with a 4 hour minimum there's no reason to hustle that much.
