    @newagedawn : Just to fill in more info, the leaking radiator shown was the worst of the lot. There were several other radiators at the salvage yard similarly butchered, and, to be fair, those did not show any evidence of leaks.

    It was pretty clear they all came out of the same dwelling, as the fittings on them all had cut pex and adapters.

    One suspects the whole system was ripped out, not because the radiators leaked, but because they didn't heat well, as only the bottom would have any flow through it.

    We may never know for sure. Only the abused radiators stand as mute testimony to human stupidity and greed.
